I've volunteered at EquiFriends, Inc. Therapeutic Equestrian Program (accredited by NARHA), for Habitat for Humanity of East King Co., and for Tax-Aide. I'm trying Volunteer Trail Coalition or Volunteers in Parks. I've also worked in the Upper Bear Creek Basin which is usually arranged by Water Tenders. I've picked up litter on the side of the road so I'm looking at King County Adopt-a-Road. I also am part of a ham radio group for interests such as DisasterRelief. I'll probably also try to use my networking skills at NetDay96 National and/or Seattle Community Network. I gave a gallon at Puget Sound Blood Center. I'm happy about the Volunteer Protection Act.
For additional opportunities: United Way of King County Volunteer Opportunities list, PSCU's charity/nonprofit list (Seattle Volunteer, etc.), and Yahoo's service/volunteerism list, etc). I'm also looking at Action Without Borders. I use Charitable Gift Fund.
